in my eternal search for a suitable defense rifle I finally drew four conclusions:

1. I want a .308
2. I want a semi-auto or pump-action
3. I want high magazine capacity
4. I want a handy rifle enabling me to quickly adress multiple threats even at close distances

My dream would be a Steyr AUG in .308. But that does not exist, does it. I only know the OAR-10 (http://www.oberlandarms.com/index.php?category=Waffen&id=10&page=#produkt) but no opinions on it and the Remington 7600P (http://www.remingtonle.com/rifles/7600.htm) which kind of interests me.

What are your suggestions and experiences?
Thank you for your time and thought.

Can you get rifles from the USA? The Bushmaster .308 would be a good choice, semi-auto and good capacity in the magazines.

Given your criteria, choice #1 would be a SA58 OSW

Choice #2 would be a SOCOM II

Choice #3 (although not EXACTLY your criteria) would be a Krebs KTR-03S
