Anybody ever used the bulk .223 from Dicks Sporting goods? It's in a red white and blue box of 150 rds. They are reloads.

Red, white and blue boxes, exactly like the American Ammunition AKA AMerc? The brand that is so well known for poor quality and blowing up firearms? Or is it some other unknown brand that is questionable in quality?

I'm not trying to be a wise guy, but there are only a couple of commercial reloaders that can be trusted on quality, it isn't worth the risk of buying questionable quality ammunition.

If you are looking for inexpensive ammunition Wolf is of decent quality and is cheap.

Hmmm, I was thinking Ultramax. I had a box of their 10mm once. Dirtiest crap I've ever shot!

I shy away from any reman ammo, unless I do the remanning :)

I have gone thru 4 boxes of it. I cant even begin to tell you all of the problems!! Mainly because there were none. Not one. The remingon packs on the other hand? Crap. 3 jams and one bullet the pushed back into the casing. That was out of 80 rounds.

Go for it.

Oh, I put them thru a KelTec SU16

Well said. It is WAY better to Purchase, -Well Known Cheap -than- Un-known Cheap.

I don't buy Wolf except .22 match LR but Wolf is a proven Reliable and Cheap.
The Only re-manufactured ammo I will buy is Black Hills.

It'll come out the end of the barrel ok, but won't make much of a group.

If your gonna shoot that stuff make sure you've got the economy size bottle of Shooter's Choice or Hoppes # 9.
Suggest spending a bit more and getting some Winchester or even S&B.

Last Saturday a bunch of the local AR15 gang got together for a social shoot, several full autos were being used, I wouldn't be surprised if they went through 10-20,000 rounds of Wolf 223 with virtually no problems, I would guess maybe 75% of the ammo being used was Wolf. It's quite impressive to see a guy with a full auto M16 run a hundred rounds from a C Mag through it in a few seconds!

I didn't have any Wolf in 223, but I did take my SKS and shoot up a couple of hundred rounds of Wolf in 7.62x39 with no problems.
