I inherited a Colt Detective Special and am interested in when it was manufactured. The serial number is 990443. Any help is appreciated.

I'm putting it at 1968. There should be a D prefix to that serial number. Is there?

Nope no D in front of the serial just the numbers. Thank you for the response
