View Full Version : collapsable stock plastic or aluminum

im buying a collapsable stock for my ar. the sling will be attached on the stock.are the plastic ones strong enough? are the alum ones heavy?

Neither are particlarly heavy. The aluminium versions rattle a bit and, as I understand, can shatter with a hard sharp blow.

I'd go with plastic. They are the current mil-spec and are easier on your face in the cold.

Agree, but that is my Pennsylvania answer. Folks from southern California are suposed to be worried about warm metal. Geesh, you girlee men. :p

When last I checked, folks in California aren't allowed to worry about AR-15s at all. :(
