Another thread confused me, and I thought my question was more relevant here. So here it goes. Can someone in the military posses a full auto weapon that was manufactured after 1986? If so how would one go about this?

Thanks again guys

Of course they can posess full-auto. Sort of silly if they had to go to war and instead of machineguns they had to point their fingers and say BANG! :D

However, I have a feeling you meant to ask if members of the military can personally own full auto weapons. As for that, they have no rights beyond a normal citizen. IE, post-1986 full-auto is banned.
