I just bought a used Ruger M77 in 22-250, the gun is on the the waiting period, anyways I took home the bolt. Upon closer inspection of the bolt, I noticed the boltface has a little spot the incaved, sort of like a ding. This spot is about a 1mm dia. and is at a corner where there is a primer mark. Question: is the bolt safe to use?

Well, I went to a local gunsmith and he said it should be ok, looks like there was a weak primer and the hot gases burn part og the boltface which caused the indention.:p

I would agree with the gunsmith. I can't see how a small indent in the bolt face could make the bolt unsafe.
