Has anyone used the Armalite AR10T for sniping, and if so how has it worked out.
Also if any one has not used it for sniping but for range only, what kinds of accuracy are you getting with the rifle.

I was doing a class about 7 weeks ago, and
one of the students had a standard AR-10
from Armalite. Some of the other students
had M40-A1s, a couple of AWIs, accurized
AR-15s, etc.
Long story short, the price range for the
rifles including scopes was about $1200 to
The AR-10 was shooting ~1/2 min groups at 100
yards, and was nailing the 6" target at 600 yards. We were impressed, and it wasn't even a T model. It was a sub-minute rifle. Period.
He was shooting federal 168 match, as I recall. When he tried the 175 grain, the groups opened up slightly at 100 and 200 yards, but they're supposed to. I started to
question the logic of buying more expensive or less accurate .308's when I saw the AR-10. If you are in the market for a semi-auto 308, based on what I saw, I would definitely get the AR-10.
Hope this helps.
