View Full Version : Taurus 66 spitting

I have a Taurus 66 .357 I purchased new in 1986.
It has functioned flawlessly for over 8k rounds
of mostly .38 specials and some .357.

Yesterday I took it to the range and it started
spitting hot chunks into my face. I was holding
the gun at least 3 feet away on the pistol rest.

I tightened all the screws and loaded some factory
JHP and it did the same thing.

The barrel cylinder gap is about .005
and the cylinder play is about 2mm either way
when the gun is cocked or uncocked.

Any suggestions? The gun still in excellent
condition otherwise and would like to get it repaired.

Thanks in advance

JSalcedo, Taurus has a lifetime warranty so I would send it to them explaining the problem. They will re-align the cylinder and it won't cost you anything but the shipping. George
