I am considering getting a scout scope on a full size M1A but I don't know who makes these type of scopes. The only one I know of is by Leupold (2.5x). Who else makes them?

I would like one that is variable in power (maybe 1.5x-4x?), and preferably with an illuminated reticle and/or a dot reticle.

Thanks

I believe Burris makes one also.

The two I know of are the Leupold and the Burris. The Burris is 2.75x. I don't know of any others. I don't think there are any variables or illuminated reticle ones either. I'd say the best option for you would be to get the Leupold and send it to Premier Reticles, http://www.premierreticles.com/. They can put a dot in it for ya.

Trijicon makes a variable power, called the Accupoint, it is 1x-5x. I wonder if it has a long eye relief.
