45-70 with Barnes 400gr Solid Round Nose...
Have any TFL gurus worked up loads with this combo?
What load? what velocity?
I think this would be a good combo for deep penetration. Please share your experience(s).

Nope, but it sounds like a winning combination!

What are you planning to shoot with this load?

I have a Barnes Reloading Manual - what rifle (or handgun) are you planning to use?

So no tube-mag-chain-fires!
I do infact have a 45-70 revolver, but I wasn't planning on using it.
Is there a load in there for each catagorie? low-pressure? medium pressure? and high pressure?
I'd love it if you shared them.

The manual does differ with the loads for .45-70. The Ruger #1 and the Marlin have different loads.

I'm puzzled by your choice of solid bullets over ones that expand. The #2 manual does not list those bullets for .45-70, hence the lack of information.
