I'm breaking in a new Benelli M1. I'm running into an interesting pattern.
1) I load a shell in the chamber 2) Fill the tube 3) Misfire 4) Eject Round manually 5) Feed round just ejected in magazine tube 6) Next round fires 7) Previous "dead" round goes bang This happened to be about 5 times in 250 rounds Any thoughts |

Winston, I think I'd strip and clean the bolt to make sure there isn't any hard factory grease etc intefereing with the firing pins travel. Check the pin itself for straigtness and the ways for any burrs that might be slowing the bolts movement forward. Other than that you might contact Bennelli. They might have an idea. George

I suspect that the bolt is not fully locking, so the firing pin is blocked from going forward. This should work out in time, but meanwhile do not "baby" the bolt. When you first load the gun, let the bolt slam forward as hard as it can. I think that may resolve the problem.
