Tempted by a Sig Sauer 617 patrol.....Help!!!

I stepped into my local gun store recently, and the salesman tempted me with a Sig 617 patrol. I am tempted to sell my Colt AR-15A3,which I bought as a SHTF rifle, to fund the new rifle. The new rifle would fill the bill as a SHTF rife, and do this better because of the larger round, in my mind anyway. The Colt will be sold to my brother for an excellent price.

So I need all the reasons why this is a dumb idea.
