Savage MK1 bolt action .22lr
I bought a new single shot bolt action to teach my 10 yr. grand-child how to shoot. I want to put a scope on it down the road after her learning iron sights.
What the heck thread pitch is it threaded for? It seems to be a 6-32 maybe but when I start a screw it is tight and I don't want to bugger the threads. Help me o seasoned ones. Hobie |

I don't know the pitch, but the screws that came with my Weaver base fit perfectly. If I recall, it was a Weaver #46.

I just used a big screwdriver and forced the screws into place.
Thanks for the input folks! I went to my favorite LGS and he had the right screws for me. Regards, Hobie |
