Every Thursday for the last three weeks, I have been shooting an 85-round Action Pistol League event. It is a simplified and slowed down competition for newbies (like me). Iron sights on carry pistols only. I shot the first one with my snubbie, which has since gone in for a new barrel. Shot the second with my 686+ and did better. Shoot includes close/long range, weak/strong hand, Mosambique, hostage rescue, etc. We keep scored but do not compete.

Today I shot it again with my 686+ and, to my surprise, shot the league record score of 588 or 620 possible. Screwed up big time on hip shooting, losing ten points there. Hurried too much. The previous record was something in 560s, I think.

This isn't "serious" league, but I am happy and hope to improve the next time.

On the other bright side, I introduced three newbies to the league and got their interest up through it.
