Old model single six question

I need a little help.... I just aquired a new-to-me 3-screw single six (unconverted) and noticed that the little pin/plunger behind the trigger is not centered. I looked at some schematics, but can't seem to locate the part name or number. The gun seems to function OK, but for such a fine example
of workmanship that off-center thingie bothers me. Am I making a big deal out of nothing? Is it a problem? Is it expensive or difficult to fix? Thanks in advance for any replies.

I think your gun is OK.

It sounds like you are referring to the trigger return plunger and spring. The hole for those parts is drilled into the trigger guard. The drill has to enter at an angle other wise the front of the guard would block the drill.

Ruger's 10/22 triggerguard is set up the same way.
