Help! - Caps fall off 1858 Remington

A few weeks back, I bought a Sweeeet Ulberti 1858 Remington New Army Stainless 44 Cal revolver. I am loading 25-30 grains of triple-7 FFF, a Lubed Wad and a 454 Ball.
My problem, the #11 caps fall off the nipples after shot #1!!!!
How do I get them to stay in place?????

I pinch my caps to get them to stay put.

You might try some #10 caps.

My last one required a #10 cap. mine are Remingtons and these are readily available and if you did not get the manual with your, contact the manufacture and request one.

That would more than likely do the trick. Changing cones to Tresos and using #10 Remmingtons would pretty much guarantee success

Remington #10s fit my 1858 perfectly...but CCI #10s won't even begin to seat. I can use #11s if I pinch them on, but Remington 10s are the best fit by far.
