winchester 1200 disassembly

I have a very dirty neglected Winchester 1200 (M200 Sears? Winchester 120?) and want to take the bolt out to get the rest of the crud out of the receiver.

I've googled it and haven't found any more information than the owner's manual, which just shows field stripping.

How does the bolt come out?

try this.
Note:Never had to remove the screw from bolt of my sons 20 gauge youth model (don't even remember one being there?).
Always cleaned the bolt and trigger assemblies as single units without taking them apart. Just a good spray of either break-free or Gunscrubber then a re-oil as needed.

*should work for a m1300 too.

Cool. Thanks for the info.

This is an old gun that's been sitting around a while and been used for parts. The action was all gummed up and gritty.

It came apart pretty easy. I was just afraid to take out that little screw without knowing what was going to happen- every time I do something like that a killer spring comes flying out across the kitchen. Once I got the bolt out, I went ahead and cleaned that out, too.

Now all I need to do is get a trigger group for it, and I'll have a clean, ugly shotgun.

I own both Win 1200 (sears 200) and a Wingmaster, and believe it or not, the 200 has a slicker action than the WM. Buttery smooth. I couldn't hardly believe it when I cleaned it up after sitting in a guys closet for 17 years.

Take care of that stock, Win1200 stocks will not interchange with the sears 200 !

I am thinking about buying one from my friend's dad. How much is it worth? It is in average condition with minor scratches here and there. He's got both long and short barrels.
