Another NY Turkey Question
I am a deer hunter first but got my first turkey this spring. My pop and I have seen 50 or so turkeys on our lease and since he doesn't bow hunt he is planning to hunt the fall turkey season in the southern tier. My question is this, do you do any calling and if so what do you do? How about decoys. Our plan is to put the turkeys to bed then scatter them off the roost and hopefully catch them on the way back. But were not sure about the calling part. Any suggestions?
