Most dependable semi-auto in .243 DPMS-BAR-7400

I really want a semi-auto in caliber .243. I intend on doing a lot of shooting. The 7400 is OK for occasional shooting but, if you shoot year round, will it hold-up. Accuracy is another thing I worry about with the 7400.

The BAR; How does it hold up to year-round shooting? How does the BAR compare to the DPMS in accuracy?

IT seems the popularity of the "black guns" is somewhat due to their durability.

Let's focus on the DPMS since they offer a .243. Are they more dependable than a BAR? Are they more accurate than a BAR?

I'm probably gonna get me an AR variant soon anyway. Just would like to know how they compare to traditional "long guns".
