Marlin 336 1872 - 1972 Zane Grey Century

Is there good directions to properly care for this rifle. It has an octagon barrel. It hasn't been cleaned in about 25 years except the barrel. I'd like to completely clean it but I haven't been able to find any good directions, can someone help with this rifle?
