I have a slide that needs refinishing. I also have half a can of Brownells Teflon/Moly bake on to do it. What I do not have is a clue about removing the old facory laquer finish. Dad has an air compressor. What other equipment would I need to bead blast the thing? Are there chemicals that will take it off without poisoning me severely? Dremel tool?

Call around, some engine rebuilders have bead blasters. It comes out nice and it is relatively inexpensive.
