Ive never had a problem with it in my ruger mark II 22, but also have only fired a few snake shots through it, maybe 3 or 4 clips in 18+ years and havnt tried it in atleast 8? years. dont know that that helps you any, people who have tried it in the XD might have had problems.

Snake shot should not be used in a semi and if they are they will jam upon feeding everytime.

The XD manual states you should not shoot frangible ammo such as snake shot out of the XD pistols

Never had a problem with shot in my CZ75. I guess that is an exception to the sweeping "Snake shot should not be used in a semi and if they are they will jam upon feeding everytime."

Hmm, guess snake shot is better than it used to be.

Snake shot doesn't work that great.. but it will fire.. just needs to be manually cycled.

This is out of my G17. I believe the XD has the same style Browning type locking system. I noticed the plastic capsule hung up once and a while.. easy to clear.

I bought some shot on a lark one day and put the whole 10(?) rounds through my CZ, no malfunctions. The safest place to be would be right where I was aiming...I darn near perforated a circle in the target.
