practical application of the 376 steyr...
i bought one of these and plan on using it on groundhogs, just kidding, but close.
i mostly hunt pigs and whitetail deer and am so amazed by theis rifle/ ammo. the recoil is quite managable compared to my weatherbys and 444. i am launching a 280 gr round at 200-250 fps slower than a 375 H&H mag. exept i am using a 20" carbine at about 7.5 lb.s. what a powerhouse. anybody shoot anything living that can tell me what to expect? i cant wait till NOV. by the way she groups at less than .75moa at 7X. |

Shoot anything ya want with it. I hunt pigs with an old Winchester Mod 70 in .458 WinMag. That old rifle works well on whitetail deer too. The bullet goes right through, not much meat damage. Animal drops dead.
Your .376 should perform about the same.
