Bye for now....

Well, folks, it's vacation time and Clan McC is heading south for a week or so to schmooze with the in laws. They're celebrating their 50th anniversary and we're out 25th, so this is a mandatory formation.

I'll be back, please promise me you're not going to buy ChiCom shotguns, put only PGs on your "Serious" shotguns,or try to use accessories instead of practice and training.

Hasta Lumbago....

Dave

Have a safe trip, Dave. And happy 25th. We'll leave the light on for you and handle those pistol grip inquiries while you're gone.

Dave, too late. KSFreeman has already put not one but two pistol grips on his 870s. Further, I put a neon/xeon laser/phaser and, of course, wind speed indicators on my shotguns.

I plan to hand around gun shoppes and tell people how you "can't miss" with a shotgun, discuss the boulder of death effect, and how deer slugs are unshootable because of recoil!

Drive safe.

Hope it's not too late to add my best wishes...and congratulations on your silver anniversary. I'll remember your post twenty years hence, when God willing I'll be celebrating my own twentyfifth. Have a great vacation.

No Chicoms, no "tactical" stuff...I promise

It would be a bit humorous if Dave came back and every single thread involved:

A) What's the best shotgun for HD?

B) What's the best load for HD?

C) Should I pistol grip my shotgun?

D) Remington or Mossberg?

E) Can I add a GPS to my shotgun?

etc.

Of course, being the conscientious poster that he is, Dave would likely stay up non-stop until he set everyone straight.

Well, on second thought, it wouldn't be that funny.

We could keep this thread running until he gets back. John

P.S. - DAVE. If you check in while you're away...Please go by South of the Border and get me a joint compound bucket worth of firecrackers and rockets. Shouldn't be more than a couple of hundred bucks for the good stuff.

Back, thank the Diety. Thanks also for thr good wishes. Nice vacation, marred only by my telling one of the re-enactors at Colonial Williamsburg to keep that musket pointed downrange(G)....

The historical stuff was nice, pistol grips only on pistols, no ChiCom weapons, etc....
