Sjambok
Y'all,
Just pulled my 36" Cold Steel Sjambok out of a closet and was playing with it. It is a nasty cardboard whacker & bush trimmer, but I'm wondering about its usefulness for real SD applications, particularly for places where one cannot carry, since it is very light & flexible (concealable) & can still give you some range advantage. Anyone ever use one of these in a SD situation? I'd imagine it hurts like hell to get hit with it & know police & locals in Africa carry them, but does anyone know of them used successfully against a determined aggressor (not police for riot control)? Any ideas on ability to disarm an opponent with one? |

OK, no replies so far.
Here's another question then, has anyone ever been hit with a Sjambok? How did it feel? Letzfetz, I know you're out there, maybe you have some observations to share about this! For anyone who doesn't know what a Sjambok is, try this link: http://www.drearic.com/mightysjambok.html |
