My Model 700 needs a diet

I have recently purchased a Remington Model 700 SPS SS calibered in .257 Weatherby. I am looking to shave a little weight on this thing. Starting w/ the stock, was looking for pricing around 300 or so. I am at 8.5 pounds now w/ a Loopy 4.5-14x40 mounted and would like to get around 7.5 lbs w/o a huge investment. If that is at all possible. Any insight would be greatly appreciated.
