This is not a rifle, it is a hunting handgun from savage and called stiker. It is a bolt-action type with a 14" barrel. I plan to purchase one. Can anyone tell me if it is a good gun.

Vince,

Check out Jan '99 edition of the American Rifleman for a writeup on long-range bolt action pistols. The Savage Striker was one of the four covered in the article.

I dont have any experience with the Stryker itself, but my wife just got a Savage 11 left hand and we took it out and shot it today. I'm pretty happy with it, especialy for the money.
