I'm looking for a reasonably priced 22 mag. for coyotes. Most of my shots are 125 yards or less and a 222 or 22-250 tear them up a bit. Any recomendations? Any input would be appreciated.:)

LOL You should pop one at 154 yards with a 300 Win Mag!!!

As far as rifle goes. I have been amazed at how well the Marlin Model 60 semi-auto's shoot!! Don't know though if they make it in 22 mag. Should.

I picked up a Marlin 25 in 22 mag at a gun show for $125 including a 3x9 Weaver scope. Shot so well that I replaced that with a Leupold Vari-X II 3x9. It will hold 2" groups at 100 yards with Winchester 40gr JHPs. Uses 7 round magazine which cost about 12-15 dollars new. Best dollar to fun ratio I've come across.

My Model 60 is great. I've never shot it for groups at 100 yards, but it will knock down spent shotgun shells from that distance all day long! At 50 yards, I once used a quarter to draw a circle on the target. It put all it's rounds inside that quarter sized circle. And that was from a standing barricade position. Not from a bench. Needless to say, I'm keeping this one.

The Marlins are probably the best value in a bolt gun.
I have a Ruger 77/22 in 22 mag that I love, but it was $300.00 sans scope.
If you are looking for a semi auto, the "new" Remington(597?) and the Ruger 10/22 mag are possibilities, but will run you $300.00+(the Remington may be a little less)

Marlin's and Rugers are good.
Other suggestions
CZ 452 in its various flavors comes in .22 WMR. With a decent inexpensive or used scope you could probably get set up for $275 to $300.
Henry makes their little lever gun in .22 WMR. These rifles are fun shooters. With a scope, your in the $225 to $250 range.
Would recommend a look in the used rack as well, never know what might turn up.

Ya know, I've been thinking about this one. Are you sure a .22 magnum is enough power for a 'yote? I've shot jackrabbits in North Dakota with them and all it did was anger them! No kidding. My buddy was using my .243 and I was using his lever action .22 magnum. He knocked down a rabbit as it ran in front of us, but didn't kill it. I shot 10 shots of .22 magnum into that rabbit (could here it thump) from about 25 yards and never did kill it! Finally got tired of wasting ammo and went up and knifed it to put it out of it's misery!
