I am curious if anyone knows of gunshops in Southern California selling SKS rifles. I have been to Turners and B&B. They don't have them. I would like to get one of the nicer ones on the market. Preferably, one that has not been shot much.

Thanks.

I think it was "X Caliber Gun" in westminster between pawn shop and hotel, had several used SKS when I was there several months ago,
if you want to buy new one, Cliff's in santa ana has a dozen chinese SKS new not used, most of them is short so called paratrooper model thou,

I have never heard of Cliffs. Would you have Cliff's number? Are the Chinese SKS's decent?

Thanks.

Try giving Tuan's in Rowland Heights a call. They usual carry a wide selection of guns. I don't remember if they have an SKS rifles:

Cliff's Gunsmithing 1856 W 17th St Santa Ana, CA (714) 542-5846

I went through every SKS there several months ago, usually matching number actions except stock, all chinese,
if you want to have shooter, chinese is more than enough, if you want to have collectible investment, buy recent imported Yugo or go to gunshow and buy all matching serial # russian SKS, I think i saw russian SKS in the X caliber gunstore.
BTW, I have all matching # chinese from cliff's

Try Turner's Outdoorsman in the phone book.

Also, there's Arrowhead Outdoor Sports north of the 22 on Magnolia.

I picked up my Russian SKS at Turner's Outdoorsman about 5-6 years ago and paid roughly $120 for it - and it's been one of my favorites since then!

I thought Arrowhead closed... they were located off the 405, did they move to another location, north of the 22?

When did Arrowhead close? I admit, I hadn't been there in quite some time, but I always found them to be pretty honest and open to trades or other deals. Sorry to hear they're gone.

You might also consider The Armory of Orange on Tustin near the 22 and the 55.2
