I recently tried my sons army flashlight with the multi-color lenses (he's going to be a soldier for halloween), and I really liked that I kept my night vision during it. Now I want to get rid of my mag lites and get some type of green light flashlight.

Anyone have any suggestions or know if some 3rd party sells green light lenses for the mags?

MagLites sell their own accessory kit for the mini MagLite with colored lenses plus an adapter cap for them.

I believe it comes with orange, red, and clear. The military uses red as that won't kill your night-vision and you can still read maps properly. If you really want a green lense, then just use a green marker and color in the clear lenses (buy the accessory kit to do this, unless you want a permanently green flashlight).

A professional photography store will sell gels that photographers use to color studio lighting. A gel is a flexible, heat-resistant plastic. They are available in a wide array of colors.

Try B&H Photo. (http://www01.bhphotovideo.com/default.sph/FrameWork.class?FNC=CatalogActivator__Acatalog_html___CatID=1329___SID=E9C65746D90)
