Has anyone had trouble with accuracy from a good match grade 1911 conversion to 400 Corbon? I went looking for a smith that specializes in 1911s and he would not do it. Same guy did me one on a Kimber classic, and it's accuracy is very good. The smith said maybe he has just run into some bad barrels (Les Baer, Ed Brown, etc). Anyone heard of an inherent accuracy problem with this cartridge? Thx, wolfz

I have an Auto Ordnance drop in barrel in a govt model and it's very accurate. I have met several people who have started using this cartridge and they all love it. It's very accurate and it doesn't beat the gun up due to it's lower pressure than the 10mm.....29,000 in 400 vs 40,000+ in a 10mm.

I have a BarSto 400 CB barrel for my P12. The pistol is a bit more accurate the original .45acp barrel.

Comparing the 10mm and the 400 CB. My G29 (using CBs 135 10mm vs the 135gr 400cb) had better a better velocity over my P12 and a G30 converted to 400CB.

In a longer barrel with all that powder, I'd really expect to see a 400 CB COOK!

As a quick correction, the SAAMI pressure of the 10mm Auto is 37,500psi. Some ammo companies (Norma) had disclaimers on their ammo boxes about pressuses of 44k, but then again this company also spreads greater then 85fps from all my 10s and varied accuracy.
