Thoughts on this M1 Carbine?

Hello All,

Any help with this M1 would be fantastic. I just acquired it(found in the rafters of my grandfathers basement) and I'm curious to know more. From the research I've been doing, this seems to be a very good find. Looks to be an early model and has an Inland receiver/barrel, etc, but has a RMC (Rock-Ola Manufacturing Company) stock with the early "i" cut version. I'd love to hear your thoughts. I would say pretty good find is a bit of an understatement. That is an awesome find!

Grand pop's rafters must be remarkably clean and dry. It's in excellent condition. The bandoleer with it?
It's not usual for Carbines to have mixtures of parts. 99.99% of all Carbines went through an arsenal rebuild after W.W. II. That one either did not or it was returned, at considerable expense, to war time configuration.
There's no such thing as an "all correct" Carbine as none of the manufacturers made all the parts. Parts, not all of which were marked in any way, were made by literally 100's of small shops all over the Eastern U.S. Inland, for example, only made 9 of the parts, including the receiver. Rock-Ola made 13 of 'em.

Yes, the bandoleer was with the gun. Each pocket in the bandoleer has 2 clips of unused ammo.

That's pretty-much a time machine, with all early features, including the push-button safety which was changed early-on to a rotating style.
