Found this stock at my grandparent's place years ago, no idea what make or even category of rifle it would have been. https://36.media.tumblr.com/2a69813d8ec7f39116baf58d5b853af3/tumblr_o52r8h0hJh1s7tzm7o1_1280.jpg

Hawg got it, or possibly for the Winchester 9mm Garden Gun?

The garden gun had a shotgun butt and a rounded fore end tip. The 1904 had a crescent butt and a Schnabel tip and you can see where this started to swell right before the break.

Thanks so much - I've been wondering what it was since I was a kid. I always thought the tip was eaten by white ants? Which would make sense because I found it in a hut. Thanks again I'm happy to identify it - not that it's really worth anything?

You might get a few bucks for the butt plate and trigger guard if they're not pitted too bad.

Plus the trigger and pin. Put it on eBay.
