I've got a good deal on one of these from a dealer who is going out of business. I think it must be a Performance Center gun--the current S&W site lists a "Shorty forty" but not a "shorty 45." I'd appreciate any opinions of the gun particularly from anyone with experience with it. Thanks in advance.

I saw a write up on the "Shorty .45" in Combat Handguns a while back and it is a very nice pistol and got a great write-up. It has a rotating bushing is very accurate and is "custom built" by S & W. I shopped around but never could find one...they don't last long once they are up for sale!

I don't recognize that model; however, if it is related to the 3rd generation S&W pistols try one out before buying. I have owned two .45 3rd Gens and both were to be blunt a POS. Having warned you, I must reiterate that I have no experience with the "Shorty 45" model and as far as I know it might NOT be related to the 3rd Gen series.
