Sitting around day dreaming of my next rifle project, the thought of a .50 popped to mind. Has anyone built one? If yes, any advive, recommedations for parts, etc, etc.

I've been thinking the easiest way is to make some kind of
firing .50 that would work like the 12 ga. pipe with a pipe
over it with a nail welded at bottom to fire, I have a .50
BMG heavy barrel, the whole chamber is in the barrel,
a breach made similar to the 12 ga illegal shotgun, made from good metal, and some kind of lock up is the cheapest
way to go.I've checked out all actions, Mausers too. and
ya might as well buy a Grizzly single shot.or is it LAR?
I think the BATF aren't too found of .50s and anyone makeing them. but its a job to think about, or talk about
here.

If you wish to build a 50, consider talking to these guys first. They will have the most current info. Having said that, I would check with ATF, but last time I did, it was still legal in Lakewood, Co. But things change daily and have no idea of rules in your area. Here's the link for the Fifty Caliber Shooters Association.

Hope this helps.
