I recently purchased a Browning Hi-power (what appears to be an MKIII)

I wanted to change out the sights however it looks like the front sight post is built into the slide. I am assuming I would have to send this to someone who can mill a dovetail groove into the slide. It looks like the rear ones can be adjusted/swapped out.

I was planning to do a fiber-optic front with a blacked out rear sight which is my preference for target shooting. I had plans to eventually send to c&s or Novak for some work, so an suggestion or ideas would be appreciated.

I will attach some photos and close ups.

Novak, C&S, Don Williams, etc.... can all mill the front of the slide to accommodate a new sight.

This gun had the same sight setup on the front. The rear was also the old style without a milled slide. This was done for me by Wild West Guns in AK.

Novak can do the cut for their sights for $35. If you send them just the slide it is more cost effective than the entire pistol.
