View Full Version : Pain in the Glock

I have a brand new Glock 17. It has the politically correct NYPD Hideously Offensive 8 pound trigger. I've fired about 300 rounds through it.

After firing five or six rounds in a string, the trigger pulls shoots up to very, VERY heavy.

Anyone have any experience or ideas? Changing the trigger is not an option, this is an issue gun.

Try dropping some oil, or better yet some CLP to break up the crud too, onto the point where the trigger bar and the disconnector meet all the way in the back right part of the frame. If you don't know what I'm talking about, go to http://www.glockmiester.com and then look up the maintenance info.

This sounds weird...the trigger shouldn't get heavier as you shoot, but this is the only thing I can think of.

Find a new Dept. ;)

Good Luck, Call Glock

I had this happen to me with my 19 once. Just as dbrowne1 has said, a drop of CLP on the trigger bar and disconnector cured the problem.

If you can, replace the NYPD trigger with a standard Glock trigger.
