How do i start my own thread

You do it EXACTLY like you started this one. ;)

If there's no "new thread" button in the subforum where you're trying to start a thread then you're probably referring to the "Gun Show" forums which operate under slightly more restrictive rules than the rest of TFL.

Reading the instructions in the "Sticky" threads at the top of those subforums should give you the information you want.
