Mossberg Maverick 88 - Thoughts?

I have a Mossberg Maverick 88 in 12 ga for self defense purposes and maybe some semi-serious hunting. Added a Choate pistol grip stock to aid in pointability - seems to naturally point better for me that way anyhow.

Any thoughts/suggestions as to what else I might do to bring to to it's best *practical* potential?

How well you know any particular weapon will determine your effectiveness much more than what name is on the receiver. There's old threads here about how to practice, hit the archives and study up a bit.

Is that a full stock with PG? I see no big advantage either way, but if it works for you, fine. PG only stocks are egregious.
