I'm going to be converting a saiga to an ak-47 soon, with a kit from Carolina shooters supply. There is a range of pistol grips to choose from. Tapco classic pistol grip, saw, hogue and a few others. I am just having trouble envisioning the choices on my gun, and can't decide. I've tried google searches to no avail. I was hoping some people might have some suggestions and hopefully some pictures. Thanks!

I went with SAW...
It is not my favorite in appearance, but having shot it a few times now, I like the way it feels in my hand. It is functional.
Personally, I can't wait for the new Magpul grip to come out. I have used it on the AR, and it is great from both the feel and appearance standpoints. Very high quality, too.
I'm not holding my breath as to when I will see one, though...in the current climate, who knows when they will see the light of day.

I went with and recommend the Hogue. I've shot the Tapco SAW grip, but it doesn't come close to the Hogue. Very ergonomic.

I went with US Palm on my WASR and I would sure recommend it to anyone wanting something more substantial than the OEM grip.

PS- mine didn't come with the little trap door. I guess you're supposed to order that separate, if you can't live w/o one.

I originally had a SAW grip on my Saiga. Couldn't stand it. It was too slick, angled incorrectly, and too large (and I have long fingers).
I replaced it with a US Palm AK Battle Grip, and it is vastly superior. Probably the best AK grip out there at the moment.

I really like my Hogue finger grip.

US PALM is great. Replaced the one on my Arsenal with it.

I upgraded my kit I got from CSS with a Mission First Tactical grip. Don't know if it is still an option, but I really like mine. Three front and three rear changeable straps and a storage compartment. Sounds good to me..
