hey y'all.
just stumbled on this little tidbit. I am not the author, I just agree with most of the observations about glocks. I laughed a few times, expecially the final scene.
enjoy.

I have them and shoot them and I like them. I don't give a hoot what someone else thinks about them good or bad.

welcome, he seems to be getting a little longer winded with each new addition to the I hate series but part 1 and I hate 1911s both had me laughing so hard I woke the neighbors.

As I viewed this vid, which I enjoyed...the guy put a lot of work into the production - I also saw this

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zdh2X9CDe38&feature=youtube_gdata_player

A Glock/Sig 1911 torture test.

It seemed a pretty fair comparo to me, but would like other views.

A Glock and Sig1911 were both loaded, and with slides open, tossed in loose dirt and buried. The two were then pulled out, blown off and fired.

The Glock made it through a full mag without failure, the Sig1911 got off two rounds then ceased to function.

The interesting point made was that the Glock was a combat pistol while the 1911 platform was a target platform, built too tightly to perform in a life/death combat mode.

I am sure Mr. Browning would take issue, but the vid did offer some substantiation...or is this more of the nature of the Sig implementation of the 1911, and not indicative of the 1911 platform itself?

Well, couldn't get to the end; that was painful ... And tho I'll never own a Glock (unless somebody out there wants to give me one), I certainly don't hate them ...they just don't meet my needs ... much prefer the feel of my XDm-9 to any Glock I've ever handled ...

the final scene was by far the funniest, he gets a little too hung up on ugliest alive contest but for the most part he did a pretty good job of keeping it funny.

I especially enjoyed "Amos Obadiah's" Tactickle Bucet with built in flashlight and tazer. my younger brother was especially taken by the LEGO bit.

I follow him and his friends, he's funny and entitled to his opinion. lol...He's a comedian over anything though.

Love my Glocks just as much as my SIG's and M&P's..
