I love the factory installed red laser on my SIG P238. So, I would like to install a laser on my Ruger SR22. I'm looking at green lasers becuase of the alleged superiority over red for daytime use. My handguns are for home defense only.

My question: is there a difference in quality between the variously priced green lasers? Shopping on- line, prices range from about $30 to $250.
I have no problem spending more money if it delivers more quality/value.

Thank you.

For laser products there are only a few brands I'd bet my life or safety on.
Green lasers are more advanced but burn brighter(use power faster) so keep that in mind.
A few good brands, IMO, include; Viridian, Surefire, Insight, Crimson Trace(CT), Lasermax, EO Tech.

Avoid the cheap mall ninja stuff,.

Sources for kit include: www.lasermax.com www.crimsontrace.com www.surefire.com www.midwayusa.com www.policehq.com www.galls.com www.uscav.com www.qmuniforms.com .

I have the Viridian C5L for my M&P .40 full size. I love it. You can see the green laser surprisingly far in broad daylight and farther than the gun could accurately shoot at night. Plus it has a LED flashlight with a strobe setting.
