I am looking at Milt sparks Versa max 2 or the summer special. What about the Galco Deep Cover? Any other recommendations greatly appreciated.
Thanks

check out fobus holsters at http://www.fobusholster.com which is somewhat like Kydex. They generally weigh 2oz and are much mmore inexpensive.

Sidearmor is the best kydex out there in my opinion. It has much better finish and attention to detail then blade tech and others I have seen.

sgoeing,
I bought my first Glock a few months ago. It is a G26 and I like it a lot. I bought it to carry in an ankle holter when IWB is not practical with my slightly bigger normal carry gun. I bought a Renegade ankle holster at the recommendation of a friend at Phoenix PD. This is my first ankle holster and it is OK but I would be interested to see if there is something better. (More comfortable and more stable.)
A friend has a Sidearmor OWB holster for his G26. He carrys is crossdraw under a shirt. He raves about the Sidearmor and the "click" as the G26 holsters. I may buy a Sidearmor also.
Good luck!

George

I have a Sidearmor IWB for my 26, with two sets of belt loops so you can change the cant from 5 to 15 degrees. I haven't worn it much, since I don't have a CCW yet, but it's very comfortable and fits close to the body. I understand they also make J-hooks now you can attach to the same holster to make it a tuckable, but I haven't ordered any yet. I've only dealt with the once, but service was prompt and they communicated well.

Try the Alseei ankle rig. It's the best in the industry. Go to http://www.rfholsters.com

A Sidearmor holster is a very good investment. I
currently use Sidearmor IWB holsters for my G30 and G27.
The 27 disappears completely, the 30 almost so.
Both are very comfortable. The folks at Sidearmor
are quality people. Check out their web site.

Check out High Noon Holsters:

Good products, reasonable prices, nice flks. Most of their models are available for Glocks. I carry a Ruger P95 in their "Hideaway" and it's not noticeable under a guyabera shirt.

Get the best in Kydex from Ky-Tac. Their "Braveheart" IWB is secure, extremely comfortable yet extremely fast on the draw. http://hometown.aol.com/kytac In leather consider Lou Alessi's "Talon+". http://www.rfholsters.com

I have a Galco Deep cover that I carry my g26 in, and I love it. You can tuck your shirt in over top of it and noone can tell you are carrying...period. I paid $25 for mine NIB, but i've seen them as high as $50, so shop around. It is a good quality piece and makes the thick little glock disappear.

I like Glock's plastic belt slide holster. $14 from Glockmeister. It fits all guns with the same frame size, and you can make it fit any size belt loop. It will hide a 26 almost as well as an IWB. Use that while you experiment with all the expensive stuff.

I used a Galco Model CON286H holster with my Glock 26 and 27. It is a beautiful holster with a forward cant and form fits to your body extremely well. The only drawback is that I wouldn't want to do any prolonged running or anything strenuous with the weapon due to it not having a retention strap or any device other than belt tension. You can get away with not having one with a pistol with a longer slide, but the G26 slide isn't that large. If you don't wear your belt snug to tighten the pistol to your side, you can have problems.

I'm using the same holster with my G36 and it works well.

If you get an IWB holster, make sure it has a metal or plastic insert at the holster "mouth" to make reholstering easy. I've used the floppy Uncle Mikes holsters before and you just about have to take off the holster to put your weapon back in. The metal also helps the holster retain its shape so you don't have loose pants if you remove your weapon.
