I just picked up a Norinco 982 at the Ft. Hood PX for $210 as a beater pig gun at the Ranch and general play toy to accessorize with tacky mall-ninja stuff.

I plan on putting a new tacti-kewl stock such as a Blackhawk Spec-Ops or Speedfeed and a oversized safety in addition to the Wolff Spring & follower upgrade.

Are all oversized safeties the same or do I need to select a certain type to go with a certain stock?

Also is this (http://www.brownells.com/.aspx/pid=16499/sku=969-000-067/Product/870-Magazine-Spring) the spring I'm looking for?

And FYI, the Tac-Star 6-round side saddle for the 870 won't work on the Norinco 982, as it will stop the foregrip from coming back enough to cycle the action.

Thanks in advance for your advice and abstaining from emotional, long-winded dissertations on why I should of gotten a (insert freedom loving country of choice)'s shotgun instead of the evil Chinese one.

Remove some of the material on the left aft of the forend grip so it can clear the side saddle, if that is what you want. "Oh say can you see . . .the bombs bursting in air . . ."

There's actually a new documentary coming out on Nov 21, which chronicles what happens when you purchase a Commie Shotgun: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nGoe7BdGdlg
