Hello there,

I am new to the forum and gun ownership. I am german and currently living in Switzerland, last week I got myself a 87` Sig Sauer P226 in nickel finish. Sweet gun I have to say :D. Took it to the range and had a lot of fun. Reading up on Sig's got me kinda paranoid of rail wear and so on. I did some pics for you guys to comment on. The one that doesn't seem right to me is the wear on the underside of the rial on top of the locking mechanism!? The overall wear seems ok to my untrained eye.

Thanks and regards form Geneva,
Hagen

Looks great! You are good to go. Just be sure to keep the frame rails well lubed.

Thanks for the heads up guys. Any idea how many rounds went through the gun approximately?

Comparing it to my '94 220, I'd say less than 500. Not much wear going on.

I usually look at the barrel finish for wear to guess that. The finish is in good shape and the crescent at the end also called a "SIG smilie" looks like it hasn't worn much.
