So I noticed that when I was disassembling my M1A Scout to put it in a Sage stock that the gas lock came off with no problems (no figure 8 wrench required) but when I reassembled the rifle the lock tightened up on the threads in the 9 o'clock position instead of the 6 o'clock position. When in the 6 o'clock position it is slightly loose.
I know this is why Sage includes the crush washer with their stocks but due to not having the castle nut pliers I was forced to put the rifle back togather in its stock configuration, which is when I noticed this.
Should I be concerned about this at all?
