I know people have made simmilar ones before, but this one is very comfortable because of the cork I used.

That's pretty cool. On your lube that wont stick to them all issue, I think I can help. I experienced the same thing. It seems to be related to the temp of the boolits. If you run a candle under the pan everything is heated to uniform temps and then the lube will stick much better to the boolits.

For .44 caliber bullets (.427-.435"), I use a range-pickup .44 Mag case that was fired in a firearm with a grossly-oversize chamber. The mouth was squared-up on my trimmer, and a bevel put on the outside of the lip with a deburring tool. The flash hole was drilled out with a 3/16" drill bit. Through the hole, I run a piece of 0.182" polished drill rod, that's about 5" long.

The extra length of drill rod gives me a bit more to grab, when working with BAC, Carnuba Red, and similar "hard" lubes that can be difficult to work with for pan lubing.


(I currently have a few hundred dip-lubed bullets cooling. I'm hoping it simplifies the process for Carnuba Red. ...great lube. ...huge pain to use without a luber/sizer.)

I was wrong.
I appear to have upgraded (at some point) to a cut-down 7.62x54R case for .44 bullets. Same method; just a different source for the case.

At the Pharmacy or medical supply store. Actually, I use anhydrous lanolin as bullet swage lube. It has no water in it, and is slightly more expensive than regular Lanolin.

I got it form a vendor at another forum, it was about $3/lb delivered. It takes very little to make the difference.
