Is there anyone who has done this? I really want to bring it back. I've had the e2 for years now. One of my favorite guns and everything, but I have huge hands..I really want to try out the grips on the normal SIG before the e2 grips became standard on any new SIG P226...basically...

I want those back on. Is that an easy thing? Plug and play? Just buy the parts and that's that?

Any $0.02 will help....

Well, $0.01 after Obama taxes. :p

You will need the grips, screws (does your frame have the threads for the grip screws?) and a new decocker lever to make the swap.

What you want is not clear in my mind ... if you want back those as on the P226 shown on the links you provided > I have one pair that you can have for free if you pay the postage (I'm in Belgium).
If this is the case > send me a PM.

All that huh? Guess I'll start that up already then. Where can I buy these parts? Belgium man below says he can hook it up. o.O I'll jump on that. Wonder what shipping is.
