Smith & Wesson Shield in CA

I'd like to know if the S&W Shield is available in CA yet?

If you sort by barrel length you can pretty much see that there aren't any pistols at 3.1" on the list ...

It'll probably take a little while for the Shield to pass the required lab inspections in order to be listed on the CA Roster of Handguns Certified for Sale. (If I remember right, neither of the authorized labs used by CA are actually in CA, though.)

Since one of the variations of the new Shield has a magazine safety, which is a requirement for CA, and CA is such a large part of the commercial market for the company (look at the sheer number of S&W's on the roster), I'd expect they're probably in the process of having the Shield approved.

Save up your money few 3 or4 more months and get the Sig P239 in 9MM. Its what you really wanted to begin with. Buy once buy right!:cool:
