Todd Jarret free float tube , A Kies lower I built with RRA lower parts and add a 3lbTmney drop in trigger and a Rock River Operator stock. I used a Wilson Combat 24 in bull barrel with a 1:8 twist that's a Wylde 223 chamber. Yankee hill low profile gas-block.

After a 50 shot fire lapping of the barrel I went shooting the other day.

At 200 yds I held very nice 1.6 inch groups of 10 shots each. This was with 77gr Privi Match ammo. 68 grain federal gold match did almost as good. 55 grain PMC, Remington, and American Eagle did 3 inch groups.

Ive not shot any of my loads yet but I think they will do a bit better.

Due to its weight, follow up shots was almost as good as a 22lr from the bench. Ill not try and shoot this off the branch unless I'm prone I think.

I did have a 3 shot group that touched each other. But after that my old eyes just cant do well after looking down the scope. Even with a 14X one.
So in better hands I feel this gun can do under 1 inch groups at 200 yds

The hand guard is a "Todd Jarret" model from YHM. I have it on my short list for a build I'm working on.

I like it, although I would have gone w/ an A2 or PRS stock.

Very nice and great groups!

What glass did you put on it?

Very nice. I like that handguard.

Me too.

And if you for some reason have to grate some Parmesan out on the range, it looks pretty handy for that, too! :D

+1 on the handguard. What kind of ammo does it like?

It is a Nikon scope.

So far I think 75GR shoots the best but I haven't really shot enough to tell yet.

Thanks

Ok today showed me that the 75gr shot the best so far.
300yds was under 2 inch groups of 10.

that rifle looks very nice. I used to shoot a 24" 223 that would print small groups. It was a Remington Model 700 Varmint Special. It looked just like a regular BDL except it had a 24" SPORTER countour barrel not heavy. With a weaver V9 it would easily put 5 shots of Ultramax ammo inside an inch at 100 yds. It would not handle your newer 77 gr ammo thorugh I am sure of that.

Whats your scope mount setup? Im trying to decide on what to get for my rifle.

that scope mount setup is an American Defense, designed with some forward offset. For example that rifle could have the scope mounted quite a ways further forward.

Yes its a American Defense Recon X
It is much needed to get proper eye relief on the AR for me.

Is your hanguard rifle length or the extended rifle length?

I'm trying to decide which one for my 20" barrel. So far though, the rifle length is sold out at a lot of places I have looked.
